Patterns in nature – tiger

This week, we once again began looking at patterns in nature, this time looking at the tiger.  We read the book “The Tiger who came to Tea” by Judith Kerr.  The children really loved the book and wanted me to read it to them again. I did not have the time to do so but promised them at I would put the like to the story on the blog as quickly as I could.  You can find it below.

We looked at the physical features of the tiger, listened to its roar and learnt about its habits.  We are learning to write letter t for tiger.  To write the letter t we “Start at the top, go down and make a tail.  Lift and cross”.  The children decorated a letter t with tiger patterns and turned it into a tiger.
