Since my last numeracy update, the children have learnt to write the numbers 9 and 2. Here are the rhymes we are using when we write them.
Numbers tend to be a bit more difficult to write than letters as they cannot be classified according to formation. In general, the children found these numbers quite difficult to write, particularly the number 2. With the number 2, I am trying to insist as much as possible that the top bit is round and that there is a point on the left hand side at the bottom so that the 2s do not look like a z or an inverted s.
